Hail Earendel, brightest of angels,
sent over Middle-earth to men,
and true light of the sun,
radiant beyond the stars -- you will illuminate all time
from thy very self for ever.

Thank you Tom. That was very beautiful and moving. I particularly liked how you stretched friendship from the beginning moment to the present, the metaphor of Earendil's light in fact actual and real. Very very wonderful. I felt I had to reflect the light back, if only a little.
